Corcoran, MN (MinnesotaNow)- A house fire in a small town near the Twin Cities claimed the life of an occupant and sent two first responders to the hospital.

That’s according to a news release published by the Rogers Fire Department. Crews were paged to the report of a structure fire around 1:30 a.m. in Corcoran.

Male Dies in Minnesota Mobile Home Park Fire, Pair of Responding Police Officers Taken to Hospital

The fire broke out at Maple Hills Estates, which is located on the western edge of Rush Creek Golf Club. 

Responding fire crews pulled a male out of the burning home, the news release says. The rescued occupant was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital, the news release says. Officials indicate the man will be identified upon completion of a preliminary autopsy by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office. 

Two officers from the Corcoran Police Department, who also responded to the fire, were transported to a hospital for smoke inhalation. They were treated and released Friday morning, the news release says.

No other first responder or firefighter injuries were reported. The deadly fire is under investigation.
