Undated (KROC-AM News) - At least three people died as a result of traffic incidents in Minnesota on Christmas Eve.

The victims included a man who was struck by a car while walking his dog in St. Paul. The deadly incident, which also claimed the life of the dog, was reported around 8:15 PM at an intersection on Maryland Avenue about 1.5 miles north of the State Capitol. St. Paul Police say the driver stopped at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Another fatality was reported just before 8 PM in central Minnesota. The State Patrol says a 57-year-old man from Glenwood died after the vehicle he was driving collided, head-on, with an SUV on Highway 55 in Pope County about 20 miles south of Alexandria. The 18-year-old Willmar man driving the minivan was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The third death also occurred in central Minnesota and was reported around 3 PM. The victim, a 58-year-old woman from Pequot Lakes, was killed when the SUV she was driving left Highway 71 and crashed in the ditch. The location of the deadly crash is about 18 miles south of Willmar and 5 miles north of Olivia.

The names of all three victims have not been released.
