15 Big Brands Closing Minnesota + Wisconsin Stores In 2024
It's a sign of the times. Many businesses have been forced to adapt to a post-pandemic world where consumers opt for the convenience of online shopping over going into a brick and mortar.
Other factors like inflation mean consumers just really aren't shopping and spending like they used to. This means businesses have to adapt to a new business model or close up shop.
What Now?
Some big businesses are changing their business model or doing both, closing stores just in underperforming locations, freshening up their online websites and in some cases, making the shopping experience more interactive to get customers through the door.
Outback Steakhouse is one business who shared that they'd be closing many stores nationwide. Thankfully, Minnesota and Wisconsin locations have been spared this time around, including the Hermantown location.

The Outback Steakhouse locations that closed were older locations. This is just one example of many when it comes to businesses making big moves in 2024.
Red Lobster is another example of a business shuttering locations in 2024 all across the nation. Thankfully, Minnesota is seemingly spared from any of those closures at this time but Wisconsin will feel the impact at two locations.
