Just before last weekend, tragedy struck in northern Minnesota for a young couple who had headed out for an evening ATV ride.

According to reports, on Friday, August 15, John Muller, 25, and his wife, Tia, a 26-year-old off-duty Cherry Emergency Medical Responder, were riding their ATV together when an accident occurred in the Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle State Recreation Area in Gilbert, Minnesota.

Both John and Tia wound up pinned by the ATV and were not discovered until the following morning, when other ATV riders came upon the scene.

Jonathan was found alive with serious injuries and was airlifted to a Duluth hospital, but tragically, Tia had died from her injuries.

Now, as the family and community mourn a devastating loss and John fights to heal from his injuries, a fundraiser has been started.

Funraiser Started To Help John Heal and Honor Tia's Memory

A GoFundMe fundraiser has been started to help John recover and honor Tia, noting the couple devoted their lives to helping others in their personal lives and professionally, John as a volunteer firefighter and Tia as an Emergency Medical Responder.

John is now facing a long road of physical and emotional healing and overwhelming financial burdens. "Medical expenses from his injuries, the cost of laying Tia to rest, and the loss of her support weigh heavily during this already devastating time."

The GoFundMe was started in hopes that people could donate any amount to help ease this burden. All donations will go directly towards John’s medical costs, Tia’s funeral expenses, and to help John navigate the difficult weeks and months ahead.

Organizers ask those unable to give to please keep John, Tia, and their families in your prayers and share the fundraiser to help spread the word.
