The Rochester, Minnesota community is losing another staple in the downtown area. Members of the Rochester Area Family YMCA received the disheartening letter earlier this month that the large building on 1st Avenue would be closing on January 31st, 2022. The Y is inviting the community to join in for one last workout, some final moments, and celebrations.
List of Final Celebrations as Rochester Says Goodbye to the Long-Standing YMCA Building
When it was announced that Rochester's YMCA building would be closing, it was shared that a community celebration would be happening the final week that the doors were open. If you've ever enjoyed the programs, taken a swimming lesson, or picked up a game of basketball in the building, you are invited to stop by this week and also share your own story.
