It may have seemed like a long two weeks, with several postponements to the project, but it is officially done and the roadway is back open.

According to the Get Hook'd On Preston, the MnDOT finished up the work earlier this week.

"Hwy 52 concrete repairs between Fountain and Preston were completed Wednesday, Oct. 2 and the road was reopened to traffic, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation."

MnDOT was replacing some concrete panels in the road where the joints have failed or panels were in need of replacement. You can see some photos of the project HERE.

For those traveling on the Highway have already noticed the difference, as other projects in the region continue, like the I-35 project near Faribault.
