Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Motorists who frequently drive the stretch of Highway 14 between Chester and St. Charles are being advised of some travel hassles this week.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says “pavement preservation work” is scheduled on the highway, starting Tuesday (May 29).

This will require single lane traffic at times and “short” delays.

MnDOT also notes this stretch of highway is being used as the main detour route for Olmsted County Rd 9 which is closed due to the construction of a roundabout at the Highway 42 intersection.

The rehab work on Highway 14 is expected to be completed in one week.
