Gretchen Wilson was arrested on Tuesday evening (Aug. 21) after creating what authorities call a "minor disturbance" on a flight.

Nashville's Tennessean newspaper reports the 45-year-old "Redneck Woman" singer was arrested at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and charged with breach of peace after police responded to the airport just after 7PM. They had received a call about a "minor disturbance" on the flight.

“While interviewing the accused on the jetway, she became belligerent toward the troopers and caused a disturbance,” a police report reveals.

TMZ furthers that the incident was over use of the airplane bathroom. The singer and another passenger both had to use the bathroom, and the other passenger beat her to it. This led to terse words and shoving, then continued glares for the duration of the flight, according to the website's source. Flight attendants warned Wilson to stop.

Wilson was placed under arrest and booked, with her bail was set at $1,000. She is set to appear in court on Wednesday. The AP reports that her case was not listed on the court docket, and it hasn't yet been determined if she has a lawyer. A representative for the country star offered no further comment or details. She's scheduled to play an invitation-only show at the Mohegan Sun Casino on Wednesday night.

Wilson's reputation and appeal was built on her rough and rowdy ways. She often brought that to her music including in hits like "All Jacked Up" and album cuts like "The Earrings Song." The Grammy winner and 2005 CMA Female Vocalist of the Year notched five Top 10 hits in 2004 and 2005 before losing a foothold at country radio. Still, her music earned critical acclaim. In recent years she's released vulnerable ballads and rowdy country-rock songs. Her most recent album was Ready to Get Rowdy (2017) which included a collaboration with Kid Rock. Wilson has a 17-year-old daughter named Grace.
