If you are looking to go way back to the 1800s, you are in luck. Just head down to Forestville State Park where there is a village that takes you back to 1899.

Nestled in Southeast Minnesota, Forestville State Park brings you back to 1899 where you can see how people lived, how goods were made and a small sample size of the clothing people wore.

It is pretty amazing, I remember going down there on a field trip when I was in grade school, and I even got to make flour out of corn. It was pretty fun. If you have experienced it for yourself, it is a must. It is a good reminder of how far we have truly come.

Maybe the kids are playing on the iPad too much and you want to remind them what life was like over 100 years ago, this will surely do it for them. It is amazing, it is fun and it puts life into perspective.

Have you ever been to Forestville?
