Garth Brooks shattered all of the existing attendance records at Denver's Mile High Stadium during his concert on Saturday evening (June 8).

The county mega-star drew 84,500 fans to the show, according to a press release. That's significantly more than the previous record of 77,000, which U2 set in 2011.

The Denver Post called Brooks' performance the “largest ticketed event in Broncos stadium history,” adding that he is "as famous for his concerts as he is for his songs, and it’s easy to see why.”

Brooks' Denver performance was part of his ongoing Stadium Tour, which launched in March and is set to run for three years. Brooks will perform in 10-12 stadium venues per year for a total of around 30 dates, and so far the tour is breaking records all over the country. Brooks has also set new attendance records at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Fla., and during two sold-out nights at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
