Morris, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man fishing along the shore of a western Minnesota lake was fatally injured on Wednesday evening when he was struck by an out of control vehicle.

A news released from the Stevens County Sheriff's Department says 40-year-old Joshua Dewald of Brooten man was driving a vehicle on a rural road along Long Lake when he collided with a pickup parked on the side of the road about a mile east of Morris. The Sheriff’s Office says the collision caused his vehicle to slide sideways and down an embankment, where it hit 32-year-old Nicholas Hervin of Morris.

Both men were transported to a nearby hospital, where Hervin died from his injuries. The statement says Dewald was treated before he was taken into custody on some outstanding warrants.
