
Fire Breaks Out in Rural Olmsted County Residence
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The occupants of a rural Olmsted County house escaped safely after a fire broke out Thursday morning.
The house is located in the northeast part of the county at 5010 48th St NE. Elgin firefighters were called to the site around 7:00 AM. It appears the fire may have been started by a woodburning stove, although the State Fire Marshal has yet to make a final determination.
The damage was described as extensive and the home is uninhabitable.
