It might not be County Fair season...yet...but that is coming later this year. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy some of your fair food favorites. Solem Concessions announced this weekend that they would be back in Owatonna this week, and bringing along plenty of fried, fresh, food items too.

From Wednesday the 28 through Sunday, May 2nd, Solem Concessions will be taking up residence in the Fleet Farm parking lot in Owatonna. The food stands will open up daily at 11am and will stay open for business through 8pm.

If you are in the mood for cheese curds, mini donuts, footlong corndogs, fresh-cut and cooked fries, or simply a glass of lemonade they are going to have you covered.

These fair food trucks were in Owatonna last summer for a few days in the same spot, and I saw quite a bit of traffic-stopping over that way to enjoy a taste of Minnesota summer. This year, Solem is getting there right before Bridge Ave closes down for construction, which will see a roundabout put in by the Fleet Farm location when all things are done later this summer.

It's not clear if there will be more fair food trucks coming through this summer or not, as the Governor hasn't cleared the way for large gatherings to take place still. While I'm not saying this will be it, I'm not, this might be a good chance to get out and enjoy a slice of summer while we are still having some spring weather.
