Dolly Parton was honored as 2019's MusiCares Person of the Year on Friday night (Feb. 8) in Los Angeles, and stars were in attendance at the Los Angeles Convention Center to watch spectacular tribute performances to Parton from artists of every generation and genre.

Special guests Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris presented Parton with the Person of the Year award. Parton walked onto the stage and was smiling ear to ear, saying, "I want to thank all of you for this wonderful night. I truly am honored to be MusiCares Person of the Year and the first country artist to be honored. That's a great honor."

Parton then showed off her sassy and comedic side by saying, "It's been such a thrill for me tonight to see all these great artists singing songs that I've written and been a part of. It's cool, like watching them is sort of like watching porn: you're not personally involved, but you still get off on it. I really got off on this show tonight. At my age, you take anything you get."

Goddaughter Miley Cyrus introduced Parton's performance, saying, "It is a family affair and it has been such a privilege to be a part of this night. It is beyond well deserved. Nights like this were made for icons like Dolly Parton, who is joined tonight by one of the greatest, Linda Perry."

Parton performed "Coat of Many Colors" alongside Linda Perry on guitar to end the night on an epic high note.
