Eyota, MN (KROC-AM News) - A daytime detour is planned this week to repair some buckled concrete in the median at the busy Highway 14 and Highway 42 roundabout at Eyota.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says that the tour will impact northbound Highway 42 traffic just south of the roundabout between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. starting Tuesday. Southbound traffic will remain open until the repairs are completed on Thursday.

The detour will route northbound traffic onto Sandstone Drive near the Kwik Trip, before turning left on Granite Avenue and then to Highway 14. Affected motorists will then have the choice of turning right onto eastbound Highway 14 or turning left to travel west on Highway 14 or continue north on Highway 42 by going through the roundabout intersection.

MnDOT says motorists could also encounter lane closures, lane shifts, uneven road surfaces, equipment, and other obstacles while the repairs are taking place.
