Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - There will be a detour involving motorists using I-90 south of Rochester Thursday.

MNDOT says the westbound exit ramp from I-90 to Highway 52 near Marion is scheduled to be closed at 10:30 a.m. so crews can remove a semi-trailer that crashed during Wednesday’s storm. MNDOT says the closure will only affect westbound I-90 motorists exiting to Highway 52.  Work is expected to take approximately three hours.

MNDOT has set up two detours for affected motorists.

One is the Highway 42 exit at Eyota. Motorists should turn south at the top of the ramp and follow Olmsted County Road 7 south to Hwy 52. From there, motorists can then travel north or south.

An alternate detour for motorists wanting to use Hwy 52 northbound is to continue west on I-90 to the Hwy 63 exit at Stewartville and then travel north on Hwy 63 to Hwy 52 in Rochester.
