St Paul (KROC AM News) - There was a spike in confirmed COVID-19 cases in Olmsted County Friday.

The Minnesota Department of Health’s latest report on Saturday showed Olmsted County reported 19 new cases, raising its total since the pandemic began to 238.

The daily report shows 261 cases were reported statewide. That raised Minnesota’s running total to 3446. There were also 23 more deaths. That increased the state’s death toll to 244.

Here’s the breakdown in the new deaths:
Hennepin County resident age 100+
7 Hennepin County residents in their 90s
5 Hennepin County residents in their 80s
2 Hennepin County residents in their 70s
2 Hennepin County residents in their 60s
2 Ramsey County residents in their 90s
Wilkins County resident in their 80s
Clay County resident in their 90s
Clay County resident in their 80s
Clay County resident in their 60s

All but one Hennepin County resident in their 60s were in long-term care facilities.
