COVID-19: 500 New Cases; Two New Deaths in SE Minnesota
St Paul (KROC AM News) - The Minnesota Dept of Health Saturday reported more than 500 new positive COVID-19 cases and 11,000 additional tests.
The department’s daily report also shows 22 more deaths, raising the state’ s death total to 1170 with 936 of those involving residents of long-term care and assisted living facilities.
Two of the new deaths were reported in SE Minnesota, one in Olmsted County (total now 12 out of 669 positive cases) and the other in Goodhue County (total now 7 out of 76 positive cases).
Mower County has reported 36 new positive cases and its total has climbed to 482. Minnesota has now conducted 333,500 tests and the positive total has climbed to 27,500.
Rochester is reporting another positive case in a long-term care facility. Cottagewood Senior Communities is the 8th one in the city to report at least one case.
