Cover Crop Field Day

The Mower Soil and Water Conservation District will hold a cover crop champion field day Wednesday September 16 from 1 till 3 p.m. at the Bruce and Jackie Barnum farm in Brownsdale.  Speakers include representatives from Albert Lea Seed; Mower SWCD rep, Steve Lawler; NRCS soil Scientist Dan Nath; and Paul Trcka, CHS agronomist.  Topics include soil health data summary; cover crop seed mixes; Haney test and Slake test.  Tour the farm to see different cover crop mixes in the same location.  For more information contact Mower Soil and Water Conservation District.
