Happy birthday today to Eddy Arnold, born in 1918 in Henderson, Tennessee.  Dubbed "The Tennessee Plowboy", Arnold had huge hits in the 1960 and is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

1993  "I Love The Way You Love Me" by John Michael Montgomery becomes his first #1 hit.

1999  "Please Remember Me" by Tim McGraw reaches #1 on the Billboard charts.

2007  Three time winner Carrie Underwood takes home Top Female Vocalist, Album of the Year for "Some Hearts", and video for "Before He Cheats" during the Academy of Country Music Awards.
