Muriel Deason was born August 30, 1919.  Now, I imagine you sitting there scratching your head wondering "who?".  None other than Kitty Wells.  Nick-named the Queen of Country Music during her 13 year career, Kitty's first hit was released in 1952 "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels".

Kenny Chesney racked up his first #1 Billboard single with "She's Got It All" in 1997.

Kris Kristofferson was inducted into the County Music Hall of Fame in 2004, while George Strait and Sonny James received the same honor in 2006.
