Roy Orbison was born this date in 1936 in Vernon, Texas.  Orbison was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.

"I Can Love You Like That" by John Michael Montgomery reached the number one spot on the Billboard charts in 1995.

In 1998, "It's Your Love" by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill won Single Record, Song, Video and Vocal Event of the Year awards at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

2014  Ronnie Milsap is announced as a Country Music Hall of Fame inductee.
