Duluth (KROC NEWS) - Five Minnesota National Guard aircraft graced the skies of the North Star State on Wednesday. You may have seen the low-flying jets from the ground, but now you get the pilots’ point of view as they flew over 28 hospitals across the state.

The 148th Fighter Wing out of Duluth shared video footage with us giving you a rare view from inside the cockpit of one of the F-16 fighter jets as they joined the C-130 from the 133rd Airlift Wing for a portion of the May 6th flyovers. Watch the full video in the player below.

The statewide flyovers were a part of Operation American Resolve. According to the National Guard, it was their way of showing solidarity and thanking health care workers, emergency responders, food industry, and all other frontline workers throughout Minnesota who have done their part to keep the state functioning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
