A strong pitchers duel between Byron and Chatfield was opened up in the seventh inning when the Gophers scored five runs. The Gophers' bats cooled off in their second elimination game of the day, falling to Rochester Lourdes 7-0 at Todd Park in Austin.

Lexi Chase and Kelsey Howard were great in the circle for Chatfield and Bryon, as both teams struggle to get runners on and move them around the bases. That was until the 7th inning.

Shelby Isensee battled for a walk, then Howard got the next two batters to keep the ball in the infield and strand Isensee at first.

With two outs, Teagen Allen hit a single, and Abby Nosbisch followed up with a 2-RBI single to give the Gophers a 2-0 lead. Two more runs scored when Belle Berg hit a fly ball to center that was dropped, and then Berg scored on an RBI double from Chase to open up a 5-0 lead.

Chase shut down the Bears for the win and a matchup with the Rochester Lourdes Eagles.

Abbey Gabinski was great for the Eagles and allowed just one Gopher hit through five innings, as the Eagles exploded for four runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth to take a 7-0 win in a game that was shortened due to lightning and rain.

Katie Virgin hit a two-run home run in the fifth to give the Eagles a 7-0 lead, and it was the Gophers defense that allowed the Eagles to get on the board in the fourth. Alyssa Ustby singled, and then scored on a Gopher error, which opened the floodgates.

The Gophers finish their season with an impressive record of 19-4.
