A deadly crash on Highway 50 on Valentines Day killed an unrestrained woman and could lead to possible charges this week for the driver of the vehicle. The driver and passenger resided in Hampton, near where the crash occurred.

The Star Tribune reports that charges against the driver, 53-year-old Michael Serres, could come as soon as this week in the deadly crash that killed Serres partner, 49-year-old Terri Stephenson. The crash was reported at 11:18 pm on Thursday, February 14 on what the State Patrol has reported being a snow-covered Hwy. 50, about a quarter-mile from where the couple lived, according to the State Patrol.

Serres is still being held in the Dakota County Jail, and is expected to make his first appearance Tuesday, February 20th.

At the time of the fatal crash, the State Patrol reported that Serres was heading east on Hwy. 50, when his 2001 Ford F-150 pickup went into the ditch and rolled near Inga Avenue.
