Submitted by Ben Aberg.  Friday night, we brought you high school football here on KFIL. The Triton Cobras traveled down to Caledonia to take on the Warriors in their homecoming game. The start of the game was a bit sloppy, with more penalties and punts than positive yards. Things got going for the Warriors first, with quarterback Owen King finding his touch after some beautiful passes had been taken by the wind. Caledonia, with a pretty balanced offensive attack this season, went on to score four times through the air in the first half. The Triton Cobras started to get some yards on some option plays and got a touchdown pass of 50 yards from Brady Essig to Drew Kelly. The score was 28-7 Caledonia at the half.
In the second half, Caledonia ran the ball more to start, and Triton scored twice to come within one score. The Caledonia crowd was phenomenal on their homecoming night, and got the Warriors and their offense going again. The Warriors got another touchdown pass and were up two scores. With time winding down and the Warriors with possession again, Caledonia chose to pass and put the game away for a final score of 42-20. Quarterback Owen King passed for 6 touchdowns in the game, with Andrew Goergen catching 4 of those.
