The Caledonia Warriors made it through the tough Section 1AA Tournament to come out champions after a great Section Title overtime win over the Cotter Ramblers. Now, the Warriors turn their attention to the state tournament.

The Warriors earned the 4th seed and will take on the Champions of Section 7 in Procter, who earned the 5th seed. Proctor comes in with a record of 24-6, and rolled through the Section 7 tournament, winning the section title game over Duluth Marshall 62-46.

The Warriors will battle the Proctor Rails Wednesday night at Williams Arena, with tip-off slated for 8 pm.

Proctor is led by Junior Sam Pogatchnik, a 5-10 guard, who averages just over 15 points per game, she also leads the team in assist and second in rebounding. She does a lot for the Rails and should be expected to be a force offensively.

5-11 Junior Forward Liz Frase is third on the team in scoring at just under nine points per game to go along with being the team's leader in rebounding. 5-8 Junior Guard Morgan Nylund can also score for the Rails, and these three will be the ones to watch for in the State Quarterfinals.

Caledonia is led by Katie Tornstrom and a strong senior class including Kaitlin Conniff, Heidi Bolduan and Ashley Schroeder.

It should be a great matchup at Williams Arena as the Warriors are at the State Tournament for the first time since 2011.
