Roseville, MN ( KROC AM News) - Employees at Minnesota Lottery headquarters had a busy day Thursday as some lucky Minnesotans showed up to claim hefty prizes.

They included the winners of the two $1-million prizes in the Minnesota Millionaire Raffle drawing held on Jan. 1st.

One of the winners is from Minneapolis and the other is from Elko New Market. Also showing up to collect their checks were the winners of two large scratch game tickets, one worth $500,000 and the other $200,000.

The largest prize went to the winners of a $1.6-million Gopher 5 ticket sold in Hermantown on Dec. 16. The winners were Paul and Jeb Paczynski of Hermantown.

A woman from Ogilvie turned in a $100,000 ticket from the Minnesota Millionaire Raffle on Friday.

“I’m still on cloud nine,” said Tawn Mains. “This is awesome.” Mains, who works at Tower Bar & Lounge in Ogilvie, said that the news that Tower Bar & Lounge sold a $100,000 winning Raffle ticket caused quite a bit of excitement on Jan. 1 among employees who purchased tickets there. After she got home from work that day, she checked her tickets. “I checked the first one—nothing, zero. Then I checked the second ticket,” she recalled. “I thought, ‘Oh, this can’t be right, I think I just won $100,000!’ I was ecstatic!”

Meanwhile, two $1-million Powerball tickets recently sold in Mankato and Big Lake have not yet been turned in. And the state lottery is still waiting to hear from the winner of a $140,000 Gopher 5 ticket sold last week in Winona.
