2020 has been a rough year, and a rough year financially for some people too. Aldi is making Thanksgiving a little more affordable for everyone by offering everything you need for a Thanksgiving dinner at less than $30.

Typically prices of things go up over the years, not usually the other way around, but that's what happened at Aldi with these Thanksgiving dinners. Bring Me the News writes that this year's dinner is cheaper than it was last year. I'm not sure if this is because the items were cheaper this year or if Aldi decided to cut the price due to COVID but either way, it's great!

The less than $30 dinner comes with 11 Thanksgiving dinner essentials "plus a few other pantry staples", according to Aldi's website:

  • Butterball turkey
  • Bagged stuffing
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • Frozen peas, Fresh cranberries
  • Carrots
  • Celery
  • Pie crust
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • A gallon of whole milk

Bring Me the News says that it also comes with canned pumpkin pie mix but I didn't see that on Aldi's website. That might be a part of the "few other pantry staples" that they mention.

Aldi says that this dinner will feed up to 10 people. When I first saw the under $30 price tag I thought "dang that's cheap!" but then I started to wonder what the average Thanksgiving dinner for 10 costs. So, of course, I Googled it.

According to the Farm Bureau, a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 actually decreased in cost by about 4% so approximately $46.90 in total. So the Aldi option is definitely cheaper!
