22 Hy-Vee Marketplace Grilles in Minnesota will be switching over to a Wahlburgers restaurant, and that includes Rochester's Hy-Vee on West Circle Drive.

Back in 2017 Hy-Vee said, "Hy-Vee has partnered with Wahlburgers to build, own and operate 26 Wahlburgers restaurants in seven Midwestern states, becoming the brand's largest single franchise."

And then yesterday the Star Tribune reported,

(A company spokesperson) said that Hy-Vee does not have a final number of employees who may be laid off or transferred to other positions, including Wahlburgers.

One Twin Cities Market Grille employee who asked not to be identified said employees were called to an emergency meeting with several hours notice. Of the 45 employees who worked at the Brooklyn Park location, seven or eight were asked to stay on to work at the new Wahlburgers at a lower pay rate, the employee said. Some general managers were given two weeks severance pay.

An employee I spoke with at the West Circle Drive Hy-Vee said they believe they may lose a job in the restaurant, but will be offered jobs in the store.
