Undated (KROC AM News) - The grand prize in one of the multi-state lottery games played in Minnesota has gone over the half-billion dollar mark.

The jackpot for Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing was worth $458-million. There were no big winners so the jackpot rolled again and is now worth an estimated $502-million. That’s the fourth largest in the game’s history. The cash value of the prize is just over $300-million.

The game’s grand prize was last won Jan. 5th by a 20-year-old Florida man.

The jackpot had grown to $451-million when he bought his winning ticket with money he had won from a scratch-off game. He took the cash option, which was worth $282-million.

The game’s next drawing will be Friday night.
