You can find plenty of free things to do at the Steele County FREE Fair. That simply means you have more money to sample the newest food concoction on-a-stick or grab a cool gadget from the Four Seasons Centre. Here are 21 free shows for the upcoming fair August 17-22 in Owatonna. I believe this just scratches the surface of the free entertainment, which includes taking in the great 4-H exhibits and people watching.

Catch 'Fair Talk' with Steele County Fair manager Scott Kozelka Thursdays at 9:40 am on AM 1390 KRFO/94.7 FM

One of the signature free shows in 2021 is the Jason Pritchett country music show at the grandstand on Wednesday, August 18 with opening act Travis Thamert. The show starts at 6:30 pm and will celebrate the area's frontline heroes. A freewill donation will benefit Community Pathways of Steele County and the United Way of Steele County.

The All-Star Stunt Dogs return after an impressive debut in Owatonna in 2019. The Steele County Fair's Barker says the show "was a great family hit with standing room only at all performances...The production will leave fairgoers in awe..."

The Moogician performs on the Reseland Stage in the KRFO Townsquare each day of the fair. The Barker proclaims, "The Moogician combines comedy and illusions with America's favorite dairy products."

Opening night of the fair features a free antique tractor pull at the grandstand. A few other grandstand shows require a ticket, but are well worth the small price. Hairball, Craig Morgan, Bulls-N-Barrels, and the demolition derby will wow the crowds. Go to scff.org to order your tickets in advance.

Things You've Go-To-Do at the Steele Co. Fair

When You Are Having a Bad Day, Just Read These

Life isn't always perfect and we all are going to have bad days. On those days when you could use some cheering up, just look through these quotes that were found on some Hall's cough drops. They helped bring a smile to my face when I needed one and I'm sure there is one in the list that will do the same for you.
