Southeast Minnesota and Southwest Wisconsin have already had 10 inches of snow drop on some areas.

The National Weather Service is reporting snowfall amounts in parts of Houston County have reached the 10 inches by 8 a.m. Tuesday morning near Brownsville. The highest totals recorded in Fillmore County was near Rushford as of 8:30 a.m. where 9 inches of snow fell. Lansing, Iowa in Allamakee County saw 10 inches of snowfall by 4 a.m. this morning, which was its last update.

Weather forecast reports more snow will continue to fall as the day goes along, with the winds starting to pick up, with wind gust reaching 34 mph this evening, which could make the commute home difficult, along with snow-covered roads. Give snowplows plenty of room as they clear the roadways.

Much of Southeast Minnesota will be in a Winter Storm Warning until Midnight on Wednesday morning with blowing snow happening as the night goes along. Snow seems to continue to fall and snow totals will increase the more east you are in the state.
