Maybe it is just me, but Thanksgiving is a holiday that goes too unnoticed. Instead of spending time with the family, people are going out shopping into the middle of the night, and waking up early to do it again.

Kudos to the stores that are closed on thanksgiving, letting their employees spend time with friends and family.

I have never been a big Black Friday shopper. I actually try not to leave the house, unless need me on that horrific day. All those people in some way to small of spaces. I just can't handle it. I prefer to be siting in my home, eating all the leftovers I can find.

Thanksgiving is my favorite time of year. For me, it combines three of my favorite this, and they ironically all start with the letter 'F'. Football, Family and Food. Does it get much better?

A lot of places are already playing Christmas music in their stores, and I'm just not ready for that yet. I need that wonderful Thursday where I sit around and watch football with my family, and then eat everything I possibly can.

Yeah, Christmas is a wonderful holiday and deserves the month it gets, but don't take away Thanksgiving. It is a time to be thankful for what we have, to spend time with our family, share laughs and hopefully watch the Vikings beat the Lions at Ford Field. Could it get much better?

I asked a question on Facebook to find out what people's favorite thanksgiving food was. Mine, cheesy potatoes, for obvious reasons. Others mentioned turkey, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and stuffing. That is a lot of delicious food.

I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving, it is the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year.
