When the Minnesota group "Hamster Wheel" got a call from NBC's "America's Got Talent," they thought it was a joke.

But luckily, it was very real for the group of friends that builds Rube Goldberg machines. On Tuesday night, Bryce, Christian and Jason, and their machine made an appearance on the show. It took 300 hours to build the machine they showed off for the judges.

During the Tuesday, July 10 episode of “AGT” they told judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel that anything and everything could go wrong with their contraption. “We were worried about the breeze walking in here,” they said before starting it up by having Simon call host Tyra Banks‘ cell phone. Did Hamster Wheel’s machine go off without a hitch? Watch the “Americas Got Talent” audition below.

All three members of the team, Bryce, Christian, and Jason are St. Olaf graduates and one, Jason Engbrecht, is the head coach of the Faribault robotics team. Nice job guys!

You might also remember that the group named Hamster Wheel also designed a Rube Goldberg machine that went viral in 2015 for Minnesota company 3M.
