As part of my employment with KFIL, it's my job to help maintain our website and Facebook page with current news.  This has to be the hardest post I've ever had to write.  I'm writing it with a broken heart.  I'm writing it not only as part of my duties to KFIL, but as an employee of B&B Bowl in Preston.  As you probably know by now, B&B Bowl was destroyed by fire the morning of New Year's Day.  I have been a part-time employee at the B&B for thirteen years. A piece of my heart has died. The only person in the building at the time of the fire was my boss, my dear friend, owner Shelly Hanson.  Thanks to God, she escaped without injury.  As a B&B employee, I met hundreds of wonderful people, countless who have become friends.  My co-workers are my family.  I have memories that cannot be destroyed.  I have bonds that cannot be broken.  Alas, Shelly, my co-workers and I are not the only ones affected by this loss.  The entire town of Preston is in shock.  The B&B was a place to gather early mornings for coffee and to shake dice; after church on Sunday morning for breakfast; and after work for a drink to relax.  We hosted several bowling leagues, a pool league, comedy shows, Thursday night bingo, Saturday morning youth bowling league and even a couple wedding receptions.  Thank you to everyone who responded to the fire, local fire departments, law enforcement, first responders, friends, neighbors.  Some wonderful folks have set up two gofundme accounts, one for rebuilding and one for B&B Employees.  Donations are also being accepted at Preston Motor Mart and KFIL Radio office in Preston.  The community is amazing and so many have helped so much already - the kindness and generosity folks have shown is almost overwhelming.  I speak for all of us at the B&B - thank you, thank you - a hundred times thank you from the bottom of our hearts - we love you all.
