Long-time fans of KFIL radio will surely remember Chuck Sargent, who was born September 18, 1943.  Chuck was our afternoon announcer for many years.  His odd sense of humor kept co-workers and listeners scratching their heads and laughing.  His knowledge of music was amazing.  And his on-air presence was delightful. Chuck's talk sets were always entertaining, filled with musical knowledge, quips, puns, advise from Farmer's Almanac, and of course, he was always working on his coffee and donut!  You may not always agree with what Chuck had to say, but you can bet you were listening!  At the end of his on-air shift, he "got into his Studebaker and split". Chuck's shows were often the topic of discussion at the coffee round table at Chic's Pizza.  He certainly kept KFIL on the public's mind.   Did you know that Chuck was an ordained minister and quite an accomplished musician and singer?  He and his band recorded several rock-a-billy songs.  He and his wife, Marlene, could be seen taking walks around Preston, with his briefcase always in hand.  Chuck passed away March 29, 2010 in Austin, Minnesota.  Here's to you, our old friend - Merry Christmas!
