Back to the rat race and more country music history!  Writer of the "perfect country and western song", "You Never Even Called Me By My Name", David Allen Coe was born September 6, 1939 in  Akron, Ohio.

Sawyer Brown drummer, Joe Smyth, was born in 1957 in Portland, Maine.

Another big name in country music, Mark Chestnutt, was born in Beaumont, Texas in 1963.

In 2012, Vince Gill received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Looking at the Billboard country singles chart, in 1980 the #1 tune was "Lookin' For Love" by Johnny Lee.  And in 2008 it was "You Look Good In My Shirt"  by Keith  Urban.

And on a sad note, Ernest Tubb died at Nashville's Baptist Hospital in 1984.  Tubb joined the Country Music Hall of fame in 1965.
