Happy Friday, country music fans!  Wishing you a super weekend.

The ladies dominate country music history today!  In 1972, Loretta Lynn is the first woman to win CMA's "Entertainer of the Year" award.  The year is 1987 and the album is "Ann Murray's Greatest Hits", which is certified triple-platinum - the first album by a female to reach that status.  And in 2004, "Suds In The Bucket" by Sara Evans is #1 on the Billboard country singles chart.

Not to ignore the men of country music - in 2012 Darius Rucker was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.  "What's It To You" by Clay Walker is #1 on the Billboard singles chart in 1993.
