I found this interesting. I thought "I'm A Man Of Constant Sorrow" was written for the movie "O, Brother Where Art Thou." Well, it wasn't. The song was recorded for the first time in 1950 by The Stanley Brothers. The remake for the O'Brother movie was sung by "The Soggy Bottom Boys". What a great song.

In 1961, the Country Music Hall of Fame inducted Hank Williams and Jimmie Rodgers.

Looking at the Billboard country singles chart, in 1979 Kenny Rogers was in the #1 spot with "You Decorated My Life".  In 1984, it was Willie Nelson and "City of New Orleans".
