Country Music History November 24

Happy Thanksgiving, KFIL friends and fans.  Wishing you a cornucopia filled with blessings, friends, family and food!
It's not too early to start talking about holiday songs!  November 24, 1958 Decca records released "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" performed by the petite Brenda Lee.

The Billboard country singles chart in 1973 revealed the #1 song to be "The Most Beautiful Girl" by Charlie Rich.  In 2001, it was Toby Keith and "I Wanna Talk About Me".  What man doesn't want to talk about himself?  hehehe  "Free And Easy (Down The Road I Go)" by Dierks Bentley held the #1 spot in 2007.

And finally, in 2005 Jason Aldean performed during the pre-game show at Texas Stadium for a Thanksgiving Day football game.  The Broncos met the Cowboys, with a final score of Denver 24, Dallas 21.
