Montgomery Gentry joined the Grand Ole Opry in 2009. They were inducted by Marty Stuart and Little Jimmy Dickens.

"Find Out Who Your  Friends Are" is a #1 hit for Tracy Lawrence in 2007; his first in eleven years.

In 2001, Lonestar's "I'm Already There" reached #1 on the Billboard chart and remained there for six weeks.

And in 1929, June Carter was born in Maces Spring, Virginia.  Her parents are Ezra and Mother Maybelle Carter.  June and her husband, Johnny Cash, had hits with with "Jackson" and "If I Were A Carpenter".  She also co-wrote Cash's hit "Ring of Fire".
