In 1959, Kathy Mattea was born in Cross Lanes, West Virginia.  Throughout her career, Kathy earned two Grammy awards and was named Country Music Association's Female Vocalist of the Year twice.

Little Texas founding member, Porter Howell, was born in Longview, Texas in 1964.

Reba McEntire married Charlie Battles in Stringtown, Oklahoma this date in 1976.
