It's great to see that baseball has featured country artists during All-Star Games. Today's date in 1985, The Oak Ridge Boys sang The National Anthem at the All-Star Game at Hubert Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis. NL won 6-1.
In 1982, the movie "Six Pack" debuts. It's also Kenny Rogers' film debut, featuring the song "Love Will Turn You Around".
"The Closer You Get" by Alabama is #1 on the Billboard chart in 1983.
