Happy Monday everyone.  Let's get the week going with a dose of country music history.  Today is the birthdate of Dan Seals, born February 8, 1948.  Seals started out as a pop performer, part of England Dan and John Ford Coley who had several hits including "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight".  He later went on to have a successful country career, belting out such tunes as "Bop" and "Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)".  Seals passed away March 25, 2009 at the age of 61.

In 1996, Travis Tritt proposed marriage to Theresa Nelson, his third wife.  He presented Theresa with a six-caret diamond ring.  They have three children, two sons and one daughter.

And in 1997, Mark Chesnutt and "It's A Little Too Late" hold the #1 position on the Billboard country singles chart.
