"Games People Play" singer, Joe South, was born February 28, 1940 in Atlanta, Georgia.  South also had a huge hit with "Walk A Mile In My Shoes", and wrote "Rose Garden" for Lynn Anderson.

Also celebrating a birthday today is "My Kinda Party" and  "Dirt Road Anthem" singer, Jason Aldean, born in Macon, Georgia in 1977.

During the Grammy Awards in 1984, "A Little Good News" by Anne Murray won Best Country Vocal Performance, Female.

And in 2012, "If I Die Young" receives quadruple-platinum status for The Band Perry.
