Happy birthday to Sheryl Crow, born in 1962 in Kennett, Missouri.

In 2007 at the 49th annual Grammy Awards, The Dixie Chicks receive five trophies.  "Not Ready to Make Nice" received Record and Song of the Year, and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group.  Album of the Year and Best Country Album award went to the Chicks' "Taking the Long Way".

1989 "Song of the South" by Alabama reached #1 on the Billboard country chart.

And in 1967, "Don't Come Home A Drinkin' (With Lovin' On Your Mind)" by Loretta Lynn reached #1 on the Billboard charts.
