Today marks the birth date of Yogi Berra.  No, not Yogi Bear, Boo Boo's friend.  Yankees legend and Baseball Hall of Fame member, Yogi Berra, born May 12, 1925.  Yogi passed away September 22, 2015.  Although he is best remembered as a superb baseball player, Yogi is also remembered by his use of the English language, his words of wisdom and his "Yogi-isms". There are dozens of web sites devoted to Yogi-isms.  Here are just a few:

Probable Yogi's most famous "It ain't over till it's over".
"Baseball is 90 percent mental.  The other half is physical."
"Nobody goes there anymore.  It's too crowded".
"I'm not going to buy my kids an encyclopedia.  Let them walk to school like I did".
"I never said most of the things I said" - huh?!

"When you come to a fork in the road, take it".
"A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore".
"It gets late early out here".
I think this is my favorite "You should always go to other people's funerals, otherwise, they won't come to yours".

Happy birthday, Yogi!  I just bet you are having some interesting conversations in Heaven!
