Snow covered roads are being reported throughout the area - be careful!

The snow wrapped up around 2 am across much of Southeast Minnesota, but many roads across the area are still snow/ice-covered.

The Olmsted County Public Works Department today announced it will be conserving its application of road salt on county roads to critical areas because the material is in short supply.

I-90 southwest of Rochester remains clogged by huge snow drifts this afternoon.

Travel conditions are slowly improving across southeastern Minnesota, but some major highways remain closed and no travel is still advised in most areas.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says travel conditions remain poor and many highways could still be closed Monday morning.

With the early morning precipitation, MnDOT has reported ice conditions throughout southeast Minnesota.
