Wabasha, MN (KROC-AM News) - A former Rochester man has been placed on probation for a 2018 burglary at a solar farm that was under construction in Wabasha County.

27-year-old Matthew Tlougan, who now has a Stewartville address, was previously sentenced to 5-years probation for a series of construction site thefts in the Rochester area the same year. He has now been given the same length of probation in the Wabasha County case, where he could face a 33-month prison term if he gets into trouble.

Tlougan and a Byron man were arrested after investigators identified his pickup from a video recorded by a security camera at the solar farm construction site in Wabasha County. A tracking device was then placed on Tlougan's vehicle and that led Olmsted County Sheriff's Office investigators to a stash of tens of thousands of dollars worth of stolen construction equipment on a rural property west of Rochester.
